Casey Clausen, Road Warrior supreme

People forget how well he played against LSU in the ’01 SEC title game. Obviously, it gets overshadowed by the Stephens and Stallworth fumbles that cost Tennessee the game.
And lets not forget Third and Dumb$ss that couldn't stop a QB draw run by a baseball player pretending to be a QB. Most painful loss that I can ever remember.

…and this throw, catch and run is probably the greatest advertisement for the difference between the SEC and Big 10 25 years ago. An absolute dot between the Safeties who then get outrun by a TE lol.

I remember after the gameone of the Michigan players was asked when they realized it was going to be a long day.

When their 265 pound TE outran our secondary to the goalline he responded/

If the throw was on time, the go route was open on the left. I’ll never forget the cramping pit in my stomach before the snap.

Peyton stayed for his Senior year & became an all-time legend.
Tee Martin won a natty, and had 2 great years.

However, Casey Clausen may be my favorite QB of all time at UT.
He was as tough as a $2 steak, I saw him bounce up from hits that would put most other players out for the game if not the entire season.
Career 14-1 ON THE ROAD.
Elephant killer.
Gator Killer.
Wolverine Killer.
His passes may not have been the prettiest at times, but he flat out won.
"The Iceman".
