Do any of you know if the new network being created for the Atlanta Braves will be like the old days with Ted Turner’s TBS where it was broadcast “Free” nationally over cable outlets like Comcast/Xfinity or is it going to be like a Peacock or Paramount Plus? Thanks.

Go on either Duck Duck Go or what ever search you use and type in Braves Vision it will tell you.

I believe it’s called Gray Digital. The one here in Bham is being shown on the local Fox channel. So yes, free.

Wish teams would just go back to channels 2-13. Anyway, I don’t have a degree from MIT, but I guess only cable companies in six states can carry the games. I have no interest in watching anything on a telephone or computer screen. Maybe if I connect my VCR with a clothes hanger to the toaster I can find the games.

I wouldn’t watch in the tub with that set up if I were you.

It's all about the money now. The days of most of the home teams games for free like TBS and WGN are over.

Gray is showing something like 15 Spring Training games for free here in Atlanta. I haven't heard anything about Regular Season games though. It's a relatively new station that took over the news staff from the previous CBS station. It's mostly a lot of news and weather now, but they are searching for content. Maybe they will have a portion of the Braves
games on for free?

Gray Media owns WVLT in Knoxville and WSMV in Nashville.

I don't think they will have many games and not sure if it will be on those two local channels.

I don't watch the Braves as my team is someone else, but I would appreciate at least a different gouging paywall for the Preds. FanDuel Sports Network SUCKS and charges far too much.

There a sports bubble getting ready to burst and the professional teams really don't know what to do right now. ESPN GREATLY overpaid for the NBA and received little to no ROI. ESPN has even "urbanized" all the daily programs to supports the NBA and it's not helped. They even doubled down and really cut the commitment to MLB and are now stuck with a women's sports Sunday night that will be completely unwatchable. As SportsCenter and all other talk programs talk way too much about the NBA and hired NBA experts, they are stuck. Disney/ESPN will eventually cut their losses leaving ESPN grasping for strays. That will be the first domino.

College sports is being entirely overvalued by TV money right now and that is is not going to last when ESPN runs out of cable TV money.

It will be $19.99 per month, with a possible option to get all MLB for $200.00 per season.

Sounds like FanDuel will be going out of business in a month leaving 32 MLB, NHL, and NBA teams scrambling for TV outlets. Teams affected include the Braves, Predators, Hornets, and Hawks.

I'm not sure what the Predators are going- and frankly couldn't give a damn about the Grizzlies

A statewide network would be a possibility but there is little interest in the hapless Grizzlies outside 901 .

I have not been able to watch the Preds consistently since 2019.
