The Kellie Harper Doomsday Clock is now the Kim Caldwell Doomsday Clock

Whether it happens this year or next, it feels inevitable at this point.

Honestly I’d prefer if they just did it this year. Failed experiment. Got pregnant immediately and is completely distracted.

He won’t, but it would be best to just move on and see what players we can retain with a different coach.

Coach Caldwell should approach the Tennessee athletic department in the near future and negotiate to mutually part ways.
This is not a good fit for either side.
Hopefully then the coaching search can begin and the AD could step up to inform the players once again to wait until they hire a new coach to make a decision concerning the transfer portal.
As it stands today, if I’m a new coach my top priority would be retaining Civil, Edwards (incoming), Minus (incoming), Cooper, Prawl, Hurst, and Latham.
Everyone else can enter the portal right now that has eligibility to return to Knoxville whether if there’s a coaching change or not at the end of the season.

But...but...but Mia was supposed to be the best freshman in the country!

Mia will hopefully be back, but Mya is not of the caliber of other players on ranked teams in the conference. Or any ranked P4 teams for that matter.

Coach Caldwell put herself in this situation. It’s really that simple. Losing games playing the same gameplan against every opponent you face… while never forcing teams to even have to think or strategize after a single quarter especially by halftime is a clear indicator of poor leadership/preparation.
And if you can’t lead or prepare a team to compete week in and week out you should seek change or go somewhere else to coach this way.
This is a terrible fit for both sides.

Can we NOT do this 😂 as much as i want some change all this is gonna do is make people get ugly and then drag either kellie or kim

Kim style of play does not work in major college basketball. It might work at Marshall, but the athletes at this level are different. This full court press gives the other teams easy layups. She has had two years to fix this. I see no difference from last year. In close game you can not keep giving up easy layups. I just think she is in over her head. You got rid of Kelly for the team not improving.

Mia can be a good player but Mya wants to be like Mia but she just doesn't have it. Can't play someone just to keep another one. That's the problem with package deals it's going be a problem with any team at this level.
Always a chance Mya could get better. Really don't have to play her that is a choice. She can be on the team doesn't mean she has to play 20 minutes or even five.

Seems like a good plan.

Three straight loses to the Dores, I Pat is rolling.
Vandy has the best tandem guards in the country and 1 is a freshman and one a Sophomore. See at least 2 more years of this tandem. When you're Sophomore hit 6 of 9 three's and you had 2 ppl guarding her a lot of the time. She is just dynamic, a little drama but dynamic. Ralph don't have to coach just let them 2 score. Vols played pretty good but 6 of 9-3s with somebody dogging you, is hard to stop. If they had a Big that was dynamic the rest of their players are good hustlers but no go to Big. If they get a portal BIG someone that plays like Beers from Okie or Strack from UK they would be #1 next year IMO.

I want Coach Jennie from OK. I feel that she’s the most attainable and she’s proven in the SEC. And maybe she’d bring Chavez with her

Dreaming big and most unlikely - I want Kim Mulkey

I thought and said when she got pregnant not long after getting a huge job at Tennessee and trying to change and rebuild the program that it just wasn't an ideal situation. If the truth was known I'd say the powers that be weren't thrilled either.

What's even worst IMO the ladies will not make the NCAA tournament
they have to be a lot of upsets in smaller conferences for that to happen.
tournament winner
Plus regular season winner

Tennessee wins the first game SEC tournament for sure

probably even if they don't win there in
