Feel free to edit what I got! Virginia was the first southern state. VT is Appalachia as it gets. UNC would be fun with basketball and Kentucky matchups. Clemson would become more relevant. Yes Arkansas is the south but it is an odd hybrid south somewhat like we perceive west Virginia as too north "the most southern northern state" Arkansas seems "the most eastern West State"

LSUis as deep dirty southern as it gets yes but by far its own thing and not necessarily south EASTERN... Florida is its own thing too. If we make exceptions of LSU and Florida being sEc then FSU absolutely belongs. WVU would also but they are at the very top of West Virginia. If they were near Blacksburg they'd belong. Marshall therefore makes sense but no.

If a school wants to be independent and not join a conference they shouldn’t qualify for playoff spot. Notre Dame should be required to join a conference.mThey are in a conference for basketball, I know they have a big contract with NBC. Why can’t they still have a contract with NBC and be in a conference. They televise all of their home games.

There will no longer be arguments to be made who the best team in the country is with the current 12 team playoff and then the expanded playoff. It is literally charity cases once it got over 6 teams or so

He's an idiot. Putting Rice in that Southwest conference over Oklahoma is laughable. Stick them in a Go5 somewhere.

Also, NO INDEPENDENTS!!! Everyone must join a conference! Vandy belongs in the SEC. Notre Dame belongs in The Big 10 or Big East. Northwestern can go in that Big 8 conference.

Construct your conferences any way you want. Don’t care, you rank where you rank after 12 games.

32 teams, NO Conference championship games, don’t need them to get in. use that week 1 vs 32, 2vs 31 etc…. Next week top 16 square off ALSO at home sites. 8 instead of 4. Reseed???optional.

Pick it up from there. No additional weeks required. No new bowls required.

Nobody will listen to 33 complain.

So we’d take top 3 teams from each conference and 3 at large.

Round 1: #2 vs #3 from each conference play to take on the #1.

Round 2: winners of Round 1 take on conference's rank #1 for that conference championship match.

To do this fairly no independent teams could be allowed in the playoff or they’d basically get a round 1 bye and a round 2 cupcake.
