To be fair to all of them, it's damn awkward. She's having a historically horrible season and several off court public controversies all at the same time. Obviously there are elephants in the room. I thought they all did a good job given all that. It’s interesting to watch this interview versus one like coach yo or Joni Taylor. The broadcasters are cracking jokes and it looks so comfortable for both parties. This looks the complete opposite.
My thoughts exactly. Folks, have a little patience. This young lady is a diamond in the rough as a coach at this level but seems to be a quick learner. Some people take making up drama to another level on this forum.
Man the people are laughing during this interview. There’s literally nothing to see. Each of them laughing and just doing their job not being fake or trying to feed into false narratives about the demise of 1 of only 2 historic WBB programs of all-time Tennessee. Look I don’t particularly like her system and style of play.
It’s no secret but at Tennessee it’s definitely worth seeing this season how it’ll evolve. In the end, in this interview there’s nothing to see. No fake awkwardness.
I mean nothing to see beyond a normal on camera interview that shows Coach Caldwell authentic personality.
The broadcasters and Coach Caldwell also seem pretty engaged during the interview and listening to the responses of each other to follow up.
Some folks on here please go outside and touch grass my goodness…
The job of the interviewers in this setting is not to generate, percolate, or isolate a controversial headline. It was a light hearted interview nothing to see there. I hate the late game as much as the coaches, but ready to see us win.
When you’re reaching historical lows for the Lady Vols, all these things get hyper analyzed. That’s 100% on Kim. We didn’t do it.Some people take making up drama to another level on this forum.

Tbf, it’s a huge part of the job. I liked that she was candid with a few of her answers. I’ve never been on the Kim train, but I can say (as someone who does communications for a living) that she’s doing a much better job with this aspect lately. Does it mean much in the midst of a 6 game losing streak? Nah. Lol, but I’ll give her credit where/when credit is due.Who gives a crap about communicating with the media. She needs to communicate better with the players, and so far, that is not evident.
