KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – No. 19 Tennessee closes out a six-game homestand on Tuesday evening against Tennessee Tech in its final contest before SEC play begins this weekend.

The Volunteers are coming off a successful 4-1 week that included an impressive midweek victory over ETSU and a series win over Wright State.

Junior catcher/outfielder Garrett Wright provided a major boost to Tennessee's lineup during his first week of action after returning from injury. I think you run back Sunday's lineup (after a shut out doesn't feel too good) and ride with them plus Lawless is you decide to bench Levi. That gives us the highest ceiling hitting wise. Use Myatt/Antigua as subs and maybe Grindlinger as a PH for lefties.

I do Sunday’s lineup but replace Newstrom at 2B with Finley Bates and Clark at C with Lawless.

Most seem to make their biggest jumps in improvement between their Sophomore and Junior years. Most underclassmen need reps and experience in the “pressure” games on the road, in Hoover, and during Regionals and/or Supers. There’s a reason TN went to Omaha for several years with little to no success before winning it all in 24. That 24 team was seasoned, experienced, determined, and confident. They believed in themselves because they went through the trenches together.

He’s likely going to be redshirted. He’s not ready and buried on the depth chart. Huge upside on the switch hitting Ethan Moore for sure…
