CKC NCAA Pregame NC ST Presser with players. NO PLAN B.

Go to 12:30 of the presser to hear CKC. It appears she is going all out for the full court press full time and will not have a plan B (Go to about 18:10 ). Says they had a plan B and that is one reason they have not played well since January. Says team is not having fun but had fun in practice since end of season. Says she will not tell why Coup was removed from the Alabama game. Hope I did not miss anything. What do you think?

Did it not occur to her that …just maybe… her Plan B failed because it was as ill-conceived as Plan A? Maybe, just maybe a decent Plan B with fewer similarities to Plan A might work?

Steadfast and persistent are GOOD CHARACTERISTICS!
Stubborn and rigid are BAD QUALITIES.

RIP CKC D1 coaching career.

She remains one of the most tone deaf individuals of all time. It's not just that Plan A failed, it failed in a spectacular public crash out that has the whole basketball world talking about the demise of its bedrock program.

And her answer is defiamnt promise to keep on bashing her (our) head into the same brick wall? This is the plan going forward that DW has stuck us with. Good times.

It's beyond understanding that she would say out loud what we have all witnessed this year. To admit that you can't make adjustments when a system isn't working! SMH. Tennessee deserves better than this.

Kim is the living definition of honest to a fault. She's also coming off as a bit desperate to me. Her bag is literally empty, not even a Tic Tac down in the lining. I'm not mad at her at all I feel really really sorry for her. But these public facing gaffs seem so unnecessarily damaging.

Even if, especially if, she's undefeated next year I don't think it's fickle to ask what the hell happened to drag this program through historic lows this year.

My partner says she needs to win a national championship in a convincing fashion to win him back over. The blaming players and Kaiya Wynn stuff bothered him more than the losing.

Except that it wouldn't take a national championship for me, I'm right there with him and for the same reasons. We'd have to make at least the E8 this year and the FF next year (with all the perfect-for-her-system players she'll need to land out of the portal) for her to regain my confidence as a coach, but the Kaiya thing damaged something in me that might actually be irreparable. 😢

I'm E8 too, but I will also never fully trust her relationship with the players after the Kaiya thing. 😔
