We were down 71-70 and the most important possession of the season he drove, got fouled, and drilled TWO HUGE FTS to give us the lead. Turned out to be the game winning shots.
Pretty impressive for a Freshman who had a shaky game. Proud of Nate!

If Nate is healthy, it’s a different game. Still, he doesn’t need to be inbounding the ball.

He got a foot above the rim on an early block so I was confused why he couldn’t do the same on 2 layups.

I think he tweaked his leg going for a loose ball in between. Not sure if that had anything to do with it or not. He definitely had suspiciously little lift on those layups

Just typical freshman mistakes… it’s March madness, things happen! Nate is doing a great job considering playing thru an injury! He’s going to make more mistakes, it’s part of the game, but he’s still giving it his all!

Could you imagine if he did something like calling a time out without any left to lose the National Championship? No way someone could then go on to the Hall of Fame.

At least he figured out the 5 second thing. He called a TO to avoid one of those late too. Early in the year, that would have been (and several times was) a turnover.

Our guards really weren’t helping a ton. With how lazily they were cutting, I’m pretty surprised we didn’t have more inbounding problems.

Unfortunately he’s in the game as a guard/ small forward and gives us another option to dribble the ball up when the other team traps the out of bounds pass. I don’t want Estrella, Okpara, or Carey taking it out in case they trap, or making tough passes for that matter.

Barnes said he turned it at least twice during the game. Barnes saw the one that was obvious when ament went for a loose ball.

For some reason it’s easier to turn an ankle when its already injured. Painful injury.

Having 3 days off will help some, everyone else just needs to continue to step up and hopefully Nate will be healthy enough to make an impact. He hustled and fought through everything, Nate is a battler even when it’s not his best night. GBO
