Is sweet 16 the standard?

This is a huge deal. Really, most all of the teams in round of 32 could have advanced. All of these games are SO close. With our D and rebounding ability, if we can shoot in the 35-40% range from 3's and hit our free throws, we've got great chance to advance to Elite 8...IMO.

Was at the game, and being there live, you really appreciate the tremendous effort going into these games...

I hope the next guy realizes the enormous shoes he's about to step into.

As I've posted before, I was baptized into UT basketball under Wade Houston so the fact that we're in a place where making the second weekend of the S16 is almost routine is incredible to me. I still have flashbacks to hoping we'd make the NIT.

I would love to see this team win a chip - or final four. Barnes is such a wonderful human being. Idk him but his players say he discusses life events - goes beyond hoops. He lives thru his faith and doesn’t go on a profanity- laced tirade like coach K- and Hurley, lil Pearl, Oates, Bruce, Bobby knight, etc. He is hard on his players but loves on them too.

I hope that we at least get an Elite Eight. Or hell, shock the World and make it to the Final Four. However, I will say that this season will be a success if we only get a Sweet 16 out of it. We greatly underachieved and I didn't think we honestly would make it this far. But here we are. So, if we're done after next weekend, I will still take this season as a success for us.

The season is a success when it ends in the NCAA tournament. It's highly successful if you get to the second weekend. It's unprecedented if we make it to the third weekend, and would be a top 10 event for any sports in school history to me, to make the Final Four.
