According to NCAA.com, there was one remaining perfect bracket going into the UT/UVA game last night. But it apparently had the Vols losing.
Not really an important story; but kind of fun 🤩

I wonder how deep in the tournament a perfect bracket has gone before? The odds are astronomical to win the whole tournament with a perfect bracket.

I'm not sure. But it always drives me crazy when people say you have a 1 in 9+ quintillion chance of getting your bracket perfect. Unique combinations and statistical odds are not the same thing. When people quote the 9 quintillion number, they're saying without realizing it that the odds of 4 16 seeds making the final 4 is the same as the odds of 4 1 seeds making it.

The odds are something in the 1 in a quintillion range I read. This year, the guy who had the one remaining perfect bracket had gotten the first 43 games right. The article said the record was someone once got the first 49 correct

Yeah, to get to the S16 the odds of 100% have to be ridiculous. 43:43 is pretty crazy
