Saw where some were talking about three or four new guys so the numbers just didn't add up a few would have to leave.

Guessing that Cade was given a number that was lower than he expected. Don’t know if it’s the fact he’s injury prone or we’ve got lines on some better bigs. Simple economics these days folks. Nothing personal, just bidness. Get used to it.

Very few know, but he would be one I think Barnes would love to keep. Pretty dang good last year and a great way to replace the departing big men. Plenty of experience and playing alongside JP would be excellent. Doubt Barnes is telling him it might be best because Barnes doesn’t really know for sure who he can get. Portal not even open.

Wonder if he’s headed to NC State. I don’t foresee a bigtime program going after him coming off surgery and won’t be able to lift, workout, shoot etc for awhile longer.
I hope so, could be a good match. Honestly, the ACC is now a step below the SEC. He's never going to be a superstar, but a 10 and 5 kid is doable at NC St., imo

His injury proneness is the biggest issue. He attacks the basket and plays angry. A trait I would think this team needs to get folks into the right emotional and winning mindset. When he did play, he was all energy, all the time and played with heart. Truly sad to see this happen but agree this now a business, and being treated as such by all.

Unfortunately Cade has entered because there’s another player who will be committing to Tennessee very soon and it would’ve definitely pushed Cade down the rotation but stay tuned!!!

I wish Cade the best, but not too suprised at this move. With JP staying healthy most of the year and averaging 10 points a game, I think he gave himself an advatage over Cade for playing time going into next season. Cade has great energy, but I think JP has more upside with his ability to score off of hook shots and creating shots around the bucket. Otherwise they do many of the same things statistically. Dwayne Brown and Carey are more bullies down low and create leverage with strength and out muscling others. We are also likely to bring in another 6'11+ big. I think Barnes really like having the option of two 6'11 centers with a 6'10 forward on the floor at the same time. We will probably try to replicate it in some form.

Yeah Dewayne developing more than Cade is why we are mostly here! Dewayne’s development really shocked Rick Barnes because they did not expect to really play him much! And they rather continue to develop a player like Dewayne than hoping and praying Cade recovery gives them more, plus there’s another commitment that should help with the loss of Cade that’s in the works!
