Why are you surprised. Anyone that saw beyond the hype of "helping" student athletes knew this was going to be standard OP once NIL and the portal (read "free agency" got its greedy little talons locked into college sports. Do athletes deserve to get pain to a degree, absolutely! Do they deserve to get paid 100X-1000x what the average fan trying to watch them play earns per year, ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Do they deserve to get market value like everyone else does in their profession?

Would you want someone, other than the market, telling you that "you can't be paid like that" even when employers offer you that money?

No one is MAKING teams pay except good old American competitive free enterprise.

& the women cant replace the ones leaving with better players? Make it make sense. Yall are over here crying about the players leaving acting like they all are the next CC & CP in the making. Sure gonna miss Prawls 2.5ppg or Lathams 4-5.. the twins combine of what 9-12? Yea those are huge #s to replace. Idk how Kim & staff is going to find such great players to replace that massive production

Not me you must have me mistaken with someone else. I said we'd only miss like a couple of the players and the one that we recruited that is going elsewhere. I think she will have a better group for the most part when it is finished. She needs a couple star players and a lot of players that can shoot the ball and play with effort.

My apologies if so but majority on here are acting crazy 🤦‍♂️ but I agree with you. Her system needs hustlers and shooters. Idc if they were a 5* or 2* if they hustle/defense and can shoot, im looking at them. This year's team lacked both majorly.

Well we will see how it works. Anyone transferring to lady Vols would only do it for the money or Be someone of average ability also taking advantage of the situation. Who won Tssaa championship this year, better sign them up.

I'm sorry-- I get the league drafts talent, BUT that kid is crazy to not stick around for another season!!
1.) near same money without any obligations for another season and he would be near the top of the sport, in both team comp and competing for chips...
2.) he should and will get bodied by grown-@$$ men with NBA-level ball skills.
* His potential is nice, but under-developed. And he wants to check the ball up with "dem bois"??? Okay...
Folks, an average NBA player is going to body this kid and prove he's not ready, bc he's not.
All love, and thanks for the "cup of coffee" with elite eight check-out (bc he ain't ready)...
It's kinda like insulting someone's intelligence with nonsense, and many hungry players will see burying Ament's hype as a meal ticket.
I don't like it, but Nate will be the poster child for the, "you think you're the next truth" brigade; cue the Kaitlyn Clark treatment.
It's exactly what the player from Michigan rightfully called-out and "told you so".

Let’s see where all those players you say are worthless wind up at. No high level winning programs would want any of them or the recruits 🧐

Understand what you’re saying but don’t think he’s playing NBA league next season. Dislike pro sports but if I was projecting, I think he goes 1st round, collects several millions, and placed in a development league until his body matures.

Everybody's last chance to play the NIL game before the August 1st new Executive Order kicks in. 5 years to play 4. Only allowed one transfer. After that if you transfer you sit out a full year. So, this generation is looking for a "bag." Sad, sad statement for this generation which I for one will forget very very fast!

Let's see🤷‍♂️ 1 has already went down to a worse program. She wasnt too thought of from other programs evidently huh. Cooper will be the only 1 that'll go to another high major program & contribute SOME. She wont be the go to. The others will be minor role players if that.

Also never called em "worthless" so if you're gonna put words in my mouth atleast make it good ones or the right ones. Here ill help. I called them Lazy & selfish. And replaceable 👍

I apologize. Lazy, selfish and replaceable sounds like you were saying they have little to no value but I guess I’m wrong 😭. Also you’re downplaying several freshmen like a good coach won’t develop them to be key players
