Love it, hope they go bankrupt. Outside of ESPN nobody has done more to corrupt college sports than the swoosh. Also helped create a society where 12 year olds kill each other for a pair of $300 athletic shoes.

One of the few good things about NIL is it has dramatically reduced the influence of the shoe companies.

Here is the article (still with ads) but readable..

What cracks me up is that it more than just “has ads”, it is itself a weird ad, maybe AI-generated? It just flips suddenly into “this is why you should buy gold!”.

This one points out that sales projections are behind the drop: https://www.marketwatch.com/story/n...lysts-are-losing-faith-in-management-468f7f71

Sales hit from weak consumer spending, tariffs and other stuff raising prices, high stock of unpopular models, etc. I know they’ve been attempting a turnaround since a failed attempt to consolidate sales through their own verticals and pulling out of retailers. They also have severe quality issues with products they have been manufacturing through Fanatics, who are just terrible at making things.
Meanwhile Adidas is surging, mostly because they’ve figured out how to make people want what they’re selling. https://www.forbes.com/sites/pamdan...nd-minds-of-consumers-globally-as-nike-falls/

I quit buying Nike because they truly only make stuff that fits skinny people imo. I run but dont have that long lean runner body, their stuff is uncomfortable. No wide shoes either except for shoddy colors.

The last Nike ad I saw on facebook had a person and honestly I couldn’t tell if it was a man or woman. I think it was purposely done that way and that’s okay for some but I was thinking this is making shopping even more difficult lol. See you Nike

Good. I hope they go under.

Nike was going bankrupt in early 80s and would have ceased to exist had they not got lucky with MJ. Adidas has been and is still the OG of sports athletes endorsements decade over decade.

I second what many others stated: their clothes and shoes have never fit, can’t get wide sizes, and their materials across their product lines literally stink, hold odor unlike anything else. That’s not opinion.

So I’d be fine with them disappearing!

What would Oregon do without them?!?! 😂😂😂
