Deeper than the EE? The Knecht team was poised for a FF, but Barnes got about what he could out of the last two teams. Barnes has made us nationally relevant on an annual basis. He's worked the portal pretty well. I agree with your take

I figured we were going to slay the transfer portal this year. During the NCAA tournament I've never heard Barnes ever do as much glowing up on Danny White as he did. Reading between the lines to me it sounded like Danny may have opened the checkbook for him. It's starting to look that way. Doesn't look like Rick was very willing to match whatever JP and Bishop and Evans etc were asking. I think he knew it was time to upgrade and he was pretty happy about it.

Man, Rick is cooking the portal. If he can land this VCU PG he will have picked up 4 starters plus a 6th man, all of whom can score. I like it.
We still have that HS small forward (Washington) announcing his commitment tomorrow so watch that too
