Don't hate the pick up just hope she can play from beginning need her too start
Two more injured players today. Eads will be a question mark as due to when her injury occurred. Maybe her ACL was minimal. Recovery by fall practice is going to be difficult . Much less ready at 90%(?) for the season. Three players some may label as " damaged goods". Build a roster and rehab and rehab and hope can contribute substantially.

Believe it happened in mid to late January this year. Maybe she’s a fast healer cause it will be less than 10 full months after injury when the season starts. In any case, Congrats to her on becoming a Lady Vol.

Given we don't have a point guard on the roster, I imagine signed her so we would have one after this next season. Meanwhile, she can start learning the system this upcoming year even if she is not playing for most of the year. Her shooting percent is poor but has always been great at steals (and I assume defense) during her high school and college career. I was surprised to learn that she was not only on the All-Big East Freshman Team last year but was also on the regular All-Big East first team. Yes, it is just the Big East but not bad for a freshman to make any all-conference team.

Interesting - how many of the players that were signed are recovering from injuries? Seems like a lot of risk taken.

They may be really good players but they don't help if they can't play at full speed. And this system requires players playing as maximum speed.

We need some bigs.
Like Jersey? Chalk that up as a lesson lernt. Dawg or an extra inch or two? Give me the dawg, every time.

Regarding the training and recovery room nature of some of these recruits… ugh. 😩

Hopefully the SEC schedulers are kind with a couple of early conference warm ups.

Yeah, when it’s an either/or situation, you go for a dawg, We don’t have the luxury of going after someone that has height and dawg in our current situation. I’d still like someone with height just so we don’t have to rely on 5’9” guards trying to guard posts if our posts are in foul trouble.

It’s definitely a valid concern. It’s an exhausting style of play even for 100% healthy, tip-top conditioned athletes.

Well that kind of tracks. A team falls apart, has to completely rebuild starting with only one 4 star HS recruit committed and some negative press buzzing around the HC. In that situation, some risks have to be taken. So, you have some really good players with injury question marks hanging over their heads who are more gettable than they would have been if injury free. Under the circumstances, it is a gamble worth taking. Some in this set may have some lingering issues but other might be close to 100% and that would be a recruiting win.

And especially true because they've never been able to hit on the exact right strength and conditioning for this system. Porridge too hot in season one, too cold in season two, reportedly back to season 1 porridge this year. That's especially troubling with the number of recovering athletes.

Really? I hope so but haven't seen that. You got a source available on this?
Nope just secondhand around here.

Makes sense with her desire to jettison all things season 2 and return to hardcore system.

I just hope they eventually find the sweet spot, but that appears to be another thing elusive about the you know what.
