After helping lead the East Carolina women's basketball team to its winningest regular season in program history, senior guard Kennedy Fauntleroy has been named the American Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year, the league announced on Monday. Additionally, Fauntleroy earned First Team All-Conference accolades, was named to the All-Defensive Team and was a unanimous selection to the All-Newcomer Team

Just to make sure I’m looking at this correctly….we’re her 5th school in 5 years?

Yep I think she had really bad luck with coaches to some degree. I think at least twice, if not three times her coach was fired after the season. Almost positive Georgetown, OSU and ASU all had a coaching change after her first season there.


So……let’s hope that’s not in our future lmao

Kennedy Fauntleroy, another ankle-biter guard transferring from East Carolina. 25-26 stats, pts. 13.7 per game, 3.4 rebs. per game, 4.8 asst. per game, shooting % 39.3. She also averaged 2.7 steals a game, 32% from distance, and 73% from the free-throw line. She has one year of eligibility. Former hoopsgurlz #74. She has speed.

She brings an element that our other healthy guards don't: more assists, decent assist:turnover ratio, and excellent defense/steal stats (a few of the others do bring this latter). What she doesn't bring is great shooting, but we have plenty of those on our team for her to assist! We absolutely needed an experience and healthy point guard!!! Now, there are possibilities of developing into a good team.
