Your favorite "assembling a team" movies (a good time to relax for awhile)

It'll probably be two months before we start hearing even hints of how the new team is coming together ON the court. So while the new team is replacing the chip on their shoulders with barbells, may be a good time for us has beens and once weres to enjoy a leisurely topic for a change.

When I think of movies that involve assembling a team, the first three (four) that came to my mind were The Magnificent Seven (1960)--an adaptation of Kurosawa's The Seven Samurai (1954)-- Kubrick's The Killing (1956), and Huston's The Asphalt Jungle (1950). Classics, all.

True confession: I was not much of a movie person in my early years. A class at the University of Louisville under Kentucky's "free for seniors" programs sparked my interest, and I'm watching more. I've only seen 7 or so of these, all of which I'd gladly watch again. So, between this and watching Caitlin and the Fever, I might make it to dove season, and thence to basketball. (Football? Well... It's been a little iffy lately. Loved Huep's early years, but...)
