Will Landon Mack pitch in Oklahoma

General soreness in arm is what they said. Hopefully he is ready for Oklahoma on Saturday I'm guessing it also depends on how we do Thursday and Friday.

I think JE said he had arm soreness. It seemed significant. He did say postgame Landon will have a long MLB career someday and we weren't going to do something to jeopardize his health. I feel like he will sit out as long as he the soreness continues. I think the doctors were going to evaluate him today and make sure there's nothing "structural" (i.e. UCL etc) going on. Not massively unusual for pitchers to experience soreness.... just depends on what the source of soreness is.

Elander was asked about it during post game Sunday. I think he will have it looked at today, which likely means MRI to identify if it’s something more serious.

I hope he’s back soon , we’ve been lucky with our top 5 arms staying healthy for the most part , losing any one of those hurts us big time

Yep. “…is what they said.”

I am guessing here, but it may be something as simple as sleeping on it the wrong way. I’m hoping it is. It’s a lot more complicated issue than it may appear at first glance. Protect them arms!

I don’t think he’s pitching this weekend regardless.

If it’s a muscle issue in his forearm, he likely won’t be pitching again this season. I hope it’s nothing serious but I will be pleasantly surprised if we see him on the mound until next season.

McKee reported on 247 yesterday that Mack’s MRI was clean so that’s a good thing long term , I guess E will hopefully have an update tomorrow
