Way too much offseason left to say that either has won the job, IMO. This is just something for media and fans to speculate on. When you have two unproven QBs, it's to be expected.

Having said that, whichever one starts (or if it's a Brent Schaeffer/Erik Ainge type of situation) it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

Based on what? I don’t recall spring ending with FB being named the starter or being noticeably better than GM. Since spring concluded what would be the basis for him being awarded the job other than just media/fan speculation? I suspect we will enter fall camp with a QB competition, the starter being named at the earliest 2 weeks before the first game.
