From the article:

“Earleywine spent 11-years as head coach at Missouri from 2007-18. During his time in Columbia, he transformed Missouri into a national power, leading the Tigers to three Women's College World Series appearances, eight NCAA Super Regionals and the program's first three 50-win”

“Prior to his stint at Texas, Earleywine helped engineer a historic season at Ole Miss in 2024. Serving as the Rebels' hitting coach, he played a key role in leading Ole Miss to its first-ever appearance at the Women's College World Series and a consensus top-10 national finish.

Under Earleywine's direction, the Rebels shattered multiple single-season offensive records, setting program highs in runs, hits, doubles, home runs, RBIs and total bases. Ole Miss also produced a program-record number of All-SEC and All-Region selections while the coaching staff earned NFCA South Region Staff of the Year honors.”

I always liked him. I thought Missouri was a tough team to beat under his leadership. Based on his success at Ole Miss and most recently Texas as the Associate Head Coach/ Hitting coach (at both schools) he is a "homerun" hire.

He has been a D1 head coach for 14 years. Three at Geogia Tech and eleven at Missouri. He has over 600 wins as a head coach.

If he is successful at Tennessee, I wonder how long we will be able to keep him given his resume. Also, wonder if he wants the stress of being a head coach again.

Karen continues to want to play small ball. That's just a fact ..
Don't agree that is a fact. They didn't play small ball at the beginning of the season. What happened later is still a mystery but when the team is not hitting you have to get runs by any way you can. Assume Karen plans to turn this new coach loose to coach hitting how he wants, which is not small ball. So new beginning. Have hope.
