Tennessee track and field won the 4x100-meter relay at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon, on June 12 to stun the favorites in the field.
The relay of Traunard Folson, Davonte Howell, T'Mars McCallum and Elijah Clark finished in a school record time of 37.98 seconds at Hayward Field. It was UT's first national championship in the event since 1983 and the fourth-fastest in NCAA history.

The list of Vol greats on football & track started with the great Richmond Flowers. Without a hamstring injury, Flowers would have been a hurdler on the 1968 Olympic team. Chuck Rowe was the track coach & head football recruiter during Dickey’s years & he started the connection with football & track that went thru Majors era with Gault, Mike Miller, Anthony Hancock & Anthony Miller, the original WRU.

There were many. Terry McDaniel was a track sprinter & All American CB, it was quite a string of great sprinters Tennessee had thru the 70s &80s.
McDaniel was a great player that could absolutely fly. GBO
