None of this will matter if we cannot best UGA, but for now soak it in friends.

Liam Blutman’s Top 10 + A Few – Week 10 - THE TRANSFER PORTAL CFB
1. Tennessee (LW – 2)
Yeah… this is where we are now. Kentucky was mad overrated in my opinion, but who cares. Tennessee dismantled the Wildcats in every facet of the sport and shut up all the haters who said the Vols secondary can’t play ball. They had Will Levis seeing ghosts just a few days before Halloween and they deserve to be the top ranked team in the nation right now. Put some more respect on Alex Golesh too. What a bright future he’s got. All eyes on the clash at Georgia on Nov. 5. Buckle up.

We looked so freaking good tonight

Call me a NegaVol if you want, but the honest reality is we did not play that great tonight.

Our offense was just a bit "off" most of the night. We were in cruise control mind you, but we were just not as precise as we have been.

Our D stepped it up big time, best overall game I have seen by our D in many years.

I give us a solid B. It really felt like the game was more of a blowout than it was as KY couldn't do crap. We left a lot of meat on the bone in a few of our drives with the ball though. McGrath suddenly looking a bit shaky does cause me a bit of worry also.

Really, I think you are totally off. We only shot ourselves in the foot on the second drive. Our o-line has proven again to be the strength of this team and they really dominated once again. Our defense is evolving and the improvement is undeniable. I don’t think you could further from the truth.

I know where you are coming from, but let's put it into perspective. Mistakes are made in every game, but I fully believe in our offense and their ability to get back on track. The more important thing to focus on is our defense is starting to execute at a high level. We've seen them improve week to week, but this is the most complete game they've been able to put together by far. As for the kicker, I have no doubt he will be working on it.

I agree. It wasn’t as explosive and exciting on offense as many other games. And that’s fine as long as it gets back to normal next week. I was pleasantly surprised by the defense. To me the defense was more dialed in than the offense tonight

I dunno man. HH short armed a few there which should have been easy completions. Just stuff like that. I know I'm nitpicking at this point.

Just saying our D pretty much shut down Kentucky. We should have gotten more than a FG out of Levis' last two interceptions. Capitalize on those two mistakes and the backups are in for the entire 4th.

I know, I know-I hate me also. Still, off by just a "tick". Solid game overall.

I agree some passes were missed, slightly, but our lines were absolutely blowing them up. I still stand by the fact that the trenches are where games are won or lost. Uk’s D is no slouch by any means and really the only way we are stopped is by ourselves.

We beat a top 20 team 44-6 and people are complaining that we were off. We had almost 130 more yards than Kentucky normally gives up and scored 4 touchdowns more than they normally give up. We scored 3 more touchdowns against them than anyone else they've played this season. The margin is only that close because they fumbled and South Carolina had a 2 yard td drive. Otherwise USC puts up 17 against them. 17 below their average instead of 10 below.

They held Ole Miss 16 points below their scoring average at Ole Miss, they held Florida 16 points below their average in Gainesville. They held Miss State 15 points below their season average.

Had McGrath made two easy kicks it's 48-6. We actually played pretty conservatively on our way to 44. Hooker only threw it 25 times. Hooker completed 76 percent of his passes, above his season average of 70 and 8 points above his 68 vs AP top 25 teams. Hooker threw for 70 more yards than they were allowing and we ran for 60 more than they normally allow.

Apparently some people think you had a subpar game if you don't complete every pass and score a touchdown on every possession.

With how our defense played tonight, combined with a dominant offensive performance vs the #9 scoring and #14 total defense in football, this is our most complete game of the season. We've not looked this good all year long.

I agree. Honestly I’m excited because I felt Kentucky would be a good test for the offense. When I was looking at stats for Georgia I kept seeing them ranked highly in a number of defensive statistics.

Especially their scoring defense was near the top of the FBS. I didn’t think they had the firepower to stay in the game with us, but wondered if they could keep the score low.

I honestly couldn’t be more pleased with the way things played out. We had some drops, sure, and there are always things to improve, but our offense looked good against a good defense.

More than that though, our defense stole the show. The secondary have been improving game by game, but it is starting to look legitimately good, and it couldn’t be happening at a better time.

But imagine how much better our games played could have been if we weren’t leaving so many plays on the field. Can’t wait to see them play to their full potential and I hope it starts next week.
