So what is the feeling from the fan base? Do many fans have something against a shared stadium with the Smokies?

Coach Vitello has 3 year plan on expanding ballpark. LNS & Neyland Stadium has to be appoved thru State of Tennessee. Dealing with State of tennessee pain in the ass !!!!!!!!! Expansion starts with money in the bank so UT had to raise money for project to start to appove plans ..Just what I was told by UT office ,,

I don’t know what the holdup is, but expansion plans of LNS need to get settled and ready to go ASAP. Vitello & Co have an opportunity to take the baseball program to a level its never seen.

Plans are being finalized, they take time. Then the fun begins dealing with all the governmental red-tape, its going to take some patience

They could add a lot more stands in left field. There is not very many sitting down there. Bring in the big ones. This was a good sign. The sad part is there were a lot of empty seats in the areas behind home plate. I wish if people were not going to use them they would sell them or give them away so that there are people in the seats. The GA areas were packed but a lot of empty areas in the season ticket areas.

They need to build on down from where stands stop at 3b .. all the way down to left field foul pole .. and the road behind the outfield closed or routed to go straight instead of curving around the outfield wall and expand outfield stands behind RF area too ... or relocate those fraternity houses down right field and move the whole stadium back ... big undertaking I know but Campus is full ....

The season ticket holders to our left, right, and the rows immediately below and above us have yet to show. I’m not advocating for some sort of attendance check, but I totally agree with you they should give their tickets away to some fans.

One would think season ticket holders would have enough respect for the program now that they’d sell or give tickets away if they’re not going to go.

Permitting processes can be a real b*tch. It’s not going to happen overnight. I do like the minor changes I’ve seen on TV so far. The left field porch looks cool.

No disrepect, but I think it just looks like scaffolding. To each his own. I was amused to see CTV so proud of it. I hope that look isn't permanent, and that something classy can be built there when the refurbishment is complete.

Is there an online system that will facilitate some sort of trade/buy/give-away ?

I’m not saying it’s look classy, but with the understanding that I know nothing “classy” will be built for about 3 years till the renovations are complete it’s a step in the right direction. It sits more people and it looks more full than the basic porch that was there before.

True that.

Some dark green mesh (with advertising) covering the bottom of the second level supports would dress it up. Rome wasn’t built in a day, so perhaps it’s coming.

They sure did add lots of ads to the outfield wall, so that’s more money coming in for the program.

Yup, although the sorry individuals who don’t go to the games won’t hear that announcement 😔

I would be curious to know if anyone walked up to the ticket booth this weekend and bought a ticket? If so, where did you end up sitting?

GBO!!!

I’d be curious to know that as well. I know the game was listed as sold out on allvols a couple days ago, so I’m not sure if they’re doing walk up sales before games like they did last year. I’m pseudo-splitting/mooching season tickets with one of my colleagues.
