georgia tech people ain't going.

a lot of florida state people would rather spend the money on the orange bowl assuming they win. and if they lose, they'll be happy they saved their money not watching a loss

I was going to post that. I still remember seeing that, it was stunning. That said, I don't think Jax is the best place for their CG. The conference is too stretched out, they need to adopt the Pac-12 home field model.

They moved it up to Charlotte for that reason, but still can't sell anybody to go. They definitely need to hold it at home fields.

No, it's location. Fans will go to a conference championship game if it's in their backyard.
This. Pac-12 title game would look the same way, especially as there's not really a centrally-located venue that's good. Southern California and Seattle have them, but then you're looking at drives as long as 20-24 hours to get there.

Neutral site championship games work for the Big Ten and SEC because the sites are located within a doable day trip from 70% of the members.

If ACC ran with home field for their title game, they'd sell them out. No, the following isn't as big as the SEC, but it's really more of a logistical issue.

It's a combination of the ACC sucking and location.

The SEC could sell out a championship game in Mexico.

The MAC Championship tickets can be gotten for about $2 according to the Plaster show. I think I'd rather go to that one, Kent St./Northern Illinois will probably be a better game.
