Glad the Lady Vols won a foul-plagued game. I want to thank the people who were blogging the game from MTSU since I wasn't able to get audio or video of the game on the UT sports website, and our NE TN radio stations were still covering high school football.

MTSU will be ranked very soon. They are no pushover. That one girl they have that is 6'7" must weigh at least 350 lbs. Biggest womens player I've ever seen.

Refs called too many fouls on Tenn. Alot of players played last night due to foul trouble. I think it was a good test and they held MTSU to no points for a long time at the begining of the second period. Meggan still being meggan... I love her somedays and other days I want her gone....... still throwing the ball away and taking wild three point shots and brick.......

Rally to beat MTSU??? Geez, we miss you Pat.

Are you crazy? Yes, we miss Pat, but MTSU is a very good team, playing at home in front of a full house. Holly is doing great job.

This team is having to mess new players into the outstanding ones we already have, and they are having to get used to officials who are going overboard on ticky tacky fouls.

Team will be really good. (And plan to see MTSU do very well also).

I can't see this team beating the top teams because Simmons is too erratic. She's a senior now, and while her game as matured a bit since she was a helter-skelter freshman, she is still simply not a dependable player. Last night she was 2-11, shooting, 0 assists and 4 turnovers. You can't have that kind of line from a four-year starter--you just can't. And she's not a good defender. I love her energy and passion for the game, and we see her score against lesser competition, but against better teams she is more liability than an asset. This is something Warlick needs to consider.

The 33 fouls called on the LVs were the most of any of probably 40 box scores I reviewed. Chattanooga beat Alabama easily and had only 12 fouls.

A win is a win but sounds like the ladies were a bit shaky last night.
Still early on in the season so hopefully they can work out all the kinks come March.

Monday night game is going to be a good one.

Yes, the LVs had a lot of fouls, but there were many bad calls.
