Looks like the fighting Catholics are going to win. 31-21 ND with 2 and change on the clock.

NBC/Comcast owns the right to Notre Dame games. That's how you vault over multiple teams like WVU when you beat a so so Michigan team and get positioned for the playoffs. They don't belong there and will be embarrassed ... again IMO.

They’re undefeated is why they are where they are. West Virginia has a loss against an unranked Iowa St. Not sure who would have a valid argument for being ranked ahead of ND.

agree - the old BCS carve out for ND was BS. that deal is gone and ND is 9-0. they should be ranked where they are and if they get killed in the playoff then so be it.

I agree but ND is going to get boat raced by Bama or Clemson.

Would be interesting to see a Bama/ND championship games and see the announcers conflicted on who to slurp over and officials baffled on who to give the calls to.

Notre Dame quarterback Ian Book will not play in Saturday's game against Florida State due to an undisclosed injury, a source confirmed to ESPN.
The source added that Book is expected to be available for the No. 3 Fighting Irish's game against No. 13 Syracuse on Nov. 17.

Book has played a big role in Notre Dame's 9-0 record after taking over as the starting quarterback against Wake Forest on Sept. 22. He replaced starter Brandon Wimbush, who in the first three games of the season threw for one touchdown and four interceptions while completing 55.3 percent of his passes.
