If I told you in August our record would be 4 out of 5 after playing Florida, LSU, Alabama, Kentucky and Georgia....you would have called me crazy. Rightfully so. I am probably the biggest Pollyanna here, and even I wouldn't be willing to believe it (no matter how bad I would want it to be true.)

We will win out, and I don't know what the post season looks like. And I don't know how to process it.

I like it but a comment caught me off guard earlier with its accuracy. We're 8-1. 11-1 still has to be earned on the field.

Thankfully I trust the coaches to get the guys back to their dominant selves, but I'm certainly going to enjoy the ride and not take anything for granted.

Yes, the players have to think that way. Luckily nothing we do affects the outcome. So I'm confident in saying 11-1. Tennessee is better than those 3 squads even more than Georgia is better than Tennessee.

I am curious now as we are starting to surprise people if we start winning the recruiting battles against Clemson that we have lost over the past 10 years. We will win and lose some against Georgia and Bama, but I am more curious about Clemson since many of the kids that helped them rise would have traditionally picked us if we weren't so bad over the past decade.

If you would have told me on September 1st that on November 1st we would be ranked No. 1 in the nation, undefeated, and getting ready to play for the SEC East title against UGA, I would have told you to ring up your dealer 'cause your weed stash is getting stale.

As others have pointed out - just 3 years ago we only won THREE games and lost to Georgia STATE - NOT GEORGIA !!!
Just 2 years ago we hired an entirely new Athletic Department - not just the head coach and assistants, but AD TOO !!!
Just 1 year ago right now we were all scratching at the schedule worrying about where a sixth win was going to come from for us to be able to play in ANY bowl game !!!

I too struggle to process it all...other than to breathe in, breathe out, one foot forward...
