Love how Barnes is rotating 4 post players it keeps the fresh they can play very hard knowing in about 4 minutes they are getting a break. Tonight we got 22 points and 17 rebounds from the quartet. If we get that kind of output against supposedly the best defense in the country we should get about 30 and 20 against most teams. If this trend continues we will be tough to beat. Also gives us 20 hard fouls.

Yeah I noticed that he was running 2 in and 2 out and I think that worked really well for us.

Yep, I like this rotation. JJJ can play 4 when we go small, but I don’t prefer it. Was disappointed with Nkamhoua today. Got what was expected from Fulky. BHH I think will show significant improvement the 2nd half of the SEC season if Barnes sticks with him. Plavsic needs more touches in the paint…..I can’t believe I just posted this.

I do like the new rotations as well. These combos are working out pretty well, as both groups compliment each other nicely. I think that 30 and 20 mark is a good one to aim for the bigs, essential 7.5 and 5 for each player (which won't happen exactly like that).

Pairing up Fulk with BHH might be helping BHH as well. BHH is the least experienced of the 4 posts while Fulk is by far the most experienced. ORN might have slipped slightly being paired with Uros instead of Fulk.

Couldn't have come at a better time. Good point they made in the game last nite about our 3 pt shooting and the difference between the 3 ft and 10 ft cushion. New respect for our 'improved' front court could provide a better chance for that 10 ft space.
Anyways, I'm glad they finally changed something with the Big boys and hope it coninues to produce. Kudos Uros and company.

We did a better job of working the ball inside and then back out for a 3 last night. I also saw some skip passes, which they weren’t doing at all early in the season. I didn’t get to watch much of the Vandy game but it seems like we always struggle to shoot in that weird gym. If you look at the second half against SC, the UK game, and last night, you can see some improvement over what we were doing offensively. I just hope the trend continues. With our D it won’t take much more improvement for us to be a F4 contender. I believe we’re a S16 level team now, meaning that’s our ceiling. We still have almost 2 months before the dance. That’s plenty of time to improve even more.

IMO the biggest contribution UP is bringing is he’s upped the bar for ON and Fulky in terms of effort and toughness. CRB can coach and plead with guys, but there’s nothing like having a teammate set the bar and if you don’t step up you sit more. Can’t do anything but help this team moving forward

Not long ago Tennessee lacked point guards, BIG men...now we have both, & CRB is the mixologist.
I know our fans think it’s easy but he has to consider a lot of things when deciding who to play. Who fits well together, how to not wear our guys out over a long season, rewarding guys for effort, who matches up well against a particular opponent, and more. Now he gets paid very well to make those decisions. I’m just saying it isn’t easy. I get frustrated with his decisions on who to play at times too but ultimately I trust our HOF coach knows better than I do who should be playing.

One thing I know is if Vescovi does not get into foul trouble we are a better team. He had 37+ minutes last night and was moving all the time with or without the ball, he is the energizer bunny, the battery never quits.

Plav is definitely the MIP at this point. (Most Improved)

A lot of our success (outside of Vescovi) depends on the play of JJJ. When he is on, UT is hard to beat.

ZZ has been All-SEC freshman caliber IMO.

Coach said last night post game when Zig kept dribbling the ball getting trapped down low instead of crisp perimeter passing he took him out. And he told him “as long as you do that I WILL NOT PLAY YOU”! He told him “you can just sit on the bench with me if you continue to do that”! I think it worked because he settled down after that. I love having players who “hear the message” and not the method it’s being delivered.

It’s easy to rotate that much when any one of them doesn’t standout much from the rest.

Barnes has started to narrow in on a decent rotation and hopefully they start to build some better cohesion and confidence as we approach the halfway mark of conference play. Which I think they are.
