WR Robert Meachem - 1st Team
LB Jerod Mayo - 2nd Team
FS Jonathan Hefney - 2nd Team
OT Arron Sears - 3rd Team

All of these honors were handed out by Rivals

Well, Chavis got hell for being recognized.....how many posts will it take for one of these guys to catch hell?


Congrats to these guys, all their teammates and coaches. They all deserve these honors.

I don't think Chavis would have gotten hell had a couple of people not asked for it. Seriously, what do you expect when you start a thread asking for a critique of someone?

That said, the starter of this thread went about in a much more intelligent fashion. I think all the guys listed are deserving. I think if Swain had avoided the injuries that hobbled him late in the season, he might have found his way on here. I also thought Wade might be able to make the cut. Hopefully Coker will be on the list next year. Congrats All-Americans.

Also, I'm curious as to the other receivers that made the list. Smardijzia and Calvin Johnson?

calvin johnson was the other first team receiver.
smardijzia and jarrett were second team.

I'm surprised Meachem beat out Smardjizia and Jarrett. I think he deserves it, but I didn't think it would happen.

Ya know, I don't post much but I have noticed that although you are opposed to any negativity towards our team, you often promote overall negativity in the forum by making comments like these. It's like you are asking for it. I like to see people be optimistic also, but taking shots at them won't help the cause.

Anyways, congrats to the guys that played hard and are now being recognized for their achievments. I especially love that Meach beat out Samartjza (whatever).

Nah, you got me wrong. I just enjoy giving those that want to make sure we are all part of their negativity, EVERY DAY, as much antagonism as I can.

I'm not going to make their life easy when they do their part to ruin the rest of ours.

I stay within the board rules, and I get my share of support via PM's. Some people just aren't as confrentational as I am and enjoy the fact someone stands up for our coaches and our team.

Try to keep up. There was a huge thread blasting our Associate Head Coach for winning an award.

When I posted in this thread, I was using sarcasam in asking how long it would take for the same idiots to attack these kids for winning All American Honors.

Surely you know what sarcasam is. :ermm:

I think sarcasam might be something a magician yells during an illusion. Whatever agenda your post had, it doesn't change the fact that you invited criticism of our players.

For a group of posters that hate me so much, it's amazing to me that you all use every thread I post in as a springboard for talking about me so much.

It's moronic to think that someone like me, that spends every post defending this school, it's players and it's coaches from people like you, would want for one second, someone to criticise these players.

You're trying your hardest to make me a villan and anyone with a pulse can see right through it.

Get back to PRAISING the players and quit talking so much about me.

Way to change the subject when you lose the argument. I think you are the one that introduced the negativity thread, so you can go ahead and give up on that issue, as well. You might also notice that I posted several positive comments about our players before I noticed your first post. Try to keep up.

The biggest thing about that is that 2 are definitely back next year and maybe a third will be back. That's 3/4's AA's returning. Next year will be good indeed.

I am really pleased to see Hefney and Mayo recognized they were great this year and I thought they may fly under the radar a bit.
