to define a season. The stretch that begins tonight and ends at Arkansas on February 4th will determine the success or failure of Tennessee's regular season. The Vols must take advantage of the home schedule during that time frame to position themselves for a run in the SEC and build an NCAA resume.

It is time to get going in the right direction. The schedule so far has kept us away from TBA in the big games, and now we have one at home. Tonight is a springboard, which direction do we spring?

My thoughts were along the same line.Seeing how the Zags are no longer in the top 25, shot 52% last time we played, and seeing we lost by 9 after out rebounding them 2/1, my thinking was tonights game is a pivotal in terms of where this season winds up. Right now several teams in the SEC are playing a lot better than UT.

Right now I'd take a road split for SEC games (4-4), and I think the home winning streak definitely ends this year (at some point). I just haven't seen anything from Tennessee that says they'll do much better than 11-5 or so in SEC play.
