The team with the easier strength of schedule won the women's SEC. Miss. State and Bama twice, two of the worst teams, while UT gets Vandy and Arky twice.

You're seriously going to make scheduling an excuse? :eek:k:

Enjoy your big win against us a few weeks ago. We'll take the championship.

South Carolina and Arkansas are pretty good teams but there's no excuse for the Lady Vols to lose to either of them at home.

Just pointing out the facts.

Similar to how in football, UK's schedule is pre-designed to be easier than the rest of the East except for Vandy, just by playing Miss. State every year instead of, say, Bama, LSU, Auburn, Arky, or (now) TAMU.

Nobody cares, because nobody expects UK to regularly contend, and people care about the other annual games.

With women's basketball, if UK is going to annually be good, then they should start playing another strong program like Vandy twice a season. The Women play 14 games, so they only play three teams twice. This is the first time in decades, I think, that UK has won it. I just noticed that Vandy played UGA twice this season. They probably play twice every year. So UT always plays Vandy and UK twice, Vandy always plays UT and UGA twice, and UK and UGA get easy street. Going forward, it's only fair that the annual twice-per-season opponents be adjusted to account for the new power structure.

In a way, I'm giving credit - UK is no longer a joke in WBB. It appears they will be a contender for years to come. Therefore, it's time to adjust the schedule to balance things out again.

Threepeat in SECT would be nice for the men.

I can't remember the last time a team entered the NCAAT with a 20+ game winning streak and won it all. If winning the SECT leads to a loss in the NCAAT, then go for it.

I'd rather UK repeat 2011's postseason than 1996's.

Why the negativity? Show some class and just ignore UK if you hate them so much.

Really?
Did you forget whose board you're on?

I would never venture over to a UK board and pop off about wanting UK to lose.

But, seeing as how this is a Tennessee board, I am under no obligation to bow to your 45 titles or whatever the heck you guys expect me to do in this thread.

If you want a pat on the back, post in a UK forum. In this forum, well, I hope you lose twice over the next two weeks. I don't see that happening, but it'd be great if you do.

It's nothing personal against you; I just hate the team you root for.

I didn't post the thread, so if you don't like this thread, talk to Brian. That being said, it's called "Around the NCAA" and UK qualifies that category. If you don't like UK and hate all threads that mention them, then ignore the thread so it doesn't stay active for to long.

I respect other schools, even if I don't like them. No need to blast each other every chance we get.

Where did I blast UK?

You guys noted that the Men and Women won the SEC. My response: They both earned it, but the Women were helped by a schedule system that was designed when UK was an annual bottom-feeder.

Then, you said you hope the Men win the SEC for the third year in a row. My response: I hope you don't, but I'd rather you lose in the NCAAT if I had/get to choose.

(and I'll never stop reminding everyone that the 2010 SECT win over MSU was undeserved gift from the referees; that point is undisputed)

It's the same principle that vols say hear all the time. "If you dont like it, get out." Around the NCAA was created for the purpose of talking about other schools. Let us have our moment without having negativity.

Even on VN, KY has a right to be discussed in the proper section.

Good night. I dont want to argue, just stating my opinion. Thanks.

Just like I'll never stop reminding everyone of the butt-raping the officials gave us in Knoxville in 93, and why consequently we turned around and drummed UT by 61 two weeks later, neither being disputable. It's part of what makes the fan bases go round, it is what it is. Healthy hate is good for sports.

I can't argue with that one either.
