WF up by 8 in the 3rd.

WF qb is so good at moving around inside the pocket and throwing catchable passes.

Wake was already down its Nickel (3rd string CB) due to a season-ending injury, and came into it with their starting CB due to a leg injury.

Now their 2nd CB is down with an injury, so they’re pretty much playing with their 4th string and 5th string CB starting now.

And Clemson takes advantage over the next 4 plays. TD and a 2 point conversion to tie it up at 28 with 4:29 left in the game.

Clemson may win today but look like they are losing that elite status. Faltered last year. Lost Venables. Look like DJ is not a home run at QB.

Another Wake Forest defender down.

Clemson’s pretty much playing against a 2nd-4th string defensive backfield now.

Clemson just tied it up on 3rd and goal, reaching over on the last second right before his elbow hit the ground while going down.

35 all with 11:16 left in the game.

Clemson holds Wake Forest to a FG attempt. With 8 minutes left, one has to wonder how game-determining that might be if Clemson scores another TD.

38-35 Wake Forest with 8:07 left in the game.

Wake Forest looking for its first win against a top 10 team since 1946 (they’ve been 0-62 since then).

That only win against a top 10 team? Apparently Tennessee.

And a stuffed run followed by a sack. 3rd and 17 Wake Forest at the WF 40. 58 seconds left in the game.

Clemson takes one of its 2 timeouts.

Wake only gets 12. It’s 4th and 5 with 49 seconds left in the game.

Clemson gets the ball at their own 12 with 39 seconds left in the game.
