5 Notre Dame Players Arrested

The police don't like it when you get physical with them, a lot less likely to see a slap on the wrist with that kind of charge.

Agreed. Judge will be heavy handed when it comes to protecting police.

From a football standpoint, seems like Brian will have to bounce the gun carrier and the cop batterer

But these guys are out working in the heat while the rest of us are in air conditioning. Hence they should get off.

Yep, if they were only down in Louisiana, close enough for Bama's bagman to get there quick-quick, they would be released promptly so that they could get some of that air conditioning that the rest of us enjoyed while they were growing up.

That is, if Saban entertained thoughts of picking them up after ND expelled them.

6 players from one team arrested around the same time? Good grief! That's crazy! They're Notre Dame though. They'll probably get out of it or serve all one game suspensions like Tabor got for UF.

Where is bamawriter? Curious how he spins this whilst defending Sabans boys...

Aside from the kid who went after the cop, they got a couple of misdemeanor charges and weren't hit with DWI, so I genuinely don't care.

I do hope you weren't too far from your fainting couch when you first read about it.

Boring. I expected better from you, even for a bammer.

I will be curious to see how Coach BK handles this and how the media (unbiased media) compares it to Saban's lack of any real punishment.

If the charges get dropped, there is a 0% chance that these guys miss time.

Kelly surrendered the moral high ground years ago. He's the biggest POS in a very slimy business.

Agreed. Not a fan. But if these guys miss any time, this will be compared to bama. Notre Dame doesn't open with a team of USC caliber. More likely to receive a suspension. Plus, I don't think any of these guys are as highly regarded as Cam Robinson either. Easier to suspend.

Looks as though this biggest POS without morals showed up Saban. Didn't wait for the judicial system. Redfield suspended, Butler dismissed. He didn't even give enough time for the booster $$$ to make it to the D.A.

Guess he didn't wait for the charges to get "dropped."

What about the other 4? Internal discipline.

What's about the other 2? Suspended and dismissed. Nice attempt at deflection.

No matter how you twist it, BK did what Saban could and should have.

The suspended kid is charged with 2 felonies for assaulting a cop. So I'm not going to compare him to the two Bama players. Doing so is moronic, so I'm sure you'll try to do so.

So, for similar charges: Bama had 2 and didn't suspend either; ND had 5 and didn't suspend or dismiss 4.

And while you continue to stroke Kelly over this, at least be aware of the fact that the one dismissed player, Redfield, has been previously suspended for discipline issues and would have missed the first month of the season because of injury. Big of Kelly to take a stand with the one guy who was likely to be useless to him anyway.

Who's stroking Kelly? Read a few posts up....I agreed with your statement about Kelly. Only stroking around these parts is of Saban. I'm sure you know who's doing the stroking.

He took a stand dismissing a senior who had extremely similar charges as did the two bammers. He took a stand suspending another Senior indefinitely. That's what you do with leaders on a team. He didn't wait for the legal course to run its course.

What's moronic is resorting to childish name calling and refusing to have a civil discussion. No one would think any less of you by admitting Saban is not as holy, clean and morally upstanding as you would like to believe. In fact, you'd likely gain some respect as a writer.
