That's a couple big time recruits Kirby has lost this cycle. I know I know he still has the number one class, and no one has signed papers. Does this have anything to do with culture at UGA or just kids changing their minds? I think I spelled the kids name correctly. I'm sure someone will correct me if not. Go Vols!

Yeah, I think you spelled correctly. Who knows the reason. In this case it’s probably mostly bc Bama just recruits well. Who knows though, NIL, potential playing time, and a number of other reasons. I don’t think it’s a culture thing, but who knows what kids and parents are thinking. I certainly wouldn’t put it above other schools to use this angle against GA with the terrible accident and negative press that followed. Can’t really blame them. Recruiting is big business

I mean...it isn't like Saban doesn't recruit well too.

I just thought it was interesting. Georgia is still Georgia and will for the most part have their pick of the litter.

Woodyard must have looked at Georgia's roster

There are decommits every year.

Many times, a higher ranked recruit at your position commits after you, along with the players already on the roster means you will barely see the field until year 3.

Georgia has no need to overpay for players. Also, not all of these schools will be able to deliver on promised NIL money.

Kids change their minds all the time. To most the only culture people care about is that a team is winning. Now it could conceivably cost Georgia in the long run if this off the field crap continues or gets more media attention but right now this isn’t anything related to culture.

5* coming in realizes he's 4th on the depth chart.

Pretty simple explanation here. Bama didn’t get the 5 star that recently committed to FSU. So they went after Woodyard , a lifelong Bama fan, with family in the state. Pretty easy flip.
