While I think government shutdown is the best leveraging tool for real cuts, don't kid yourself into thinking that all because the majority of Americans say they are okay with a shutdown right now means that they won't be ticked off about it later when it starts to inconvenience or cost them.

I cant imagine the problems that a government shutdown would cause. Just thinking inside my little world of defense acquisitions and sustainment though.

If that were the case, maybe it should become permanent. But I think some will notice. There are a lot of elements of government that only a minority of people use.
