I just love listening to the announcers. My juvenile side snickers every time I hear things like "takes a Beaver bounce" or "the Beaver defense stands strong". I keep waiting to hear a Beaver/penetration comment.

Forgive me for not being up on the Oregon lingo, but is Corn Valley just a play on words for Corvallis? If so, is it supposed to be poking fun at Oregon State?

Yes, it's a common local play on "Corvallis". It's very fitting given OSU's focus on "Aggie" degrees. And yes it's a poke at "OS" as they like to call it.

Corvallis is actually a "nice" college town. Not much else in the area. And not a place to be a "Duck". I grew up about 10 miles from Corn Valley. Corvallis HS was my high school rival.
