#6 Florida vs #8 Georgia Game Thread

Kirby Smart isn’t a good coach. Lol.

While I know the "win" counts about all else.

You dominate the line of scrimmage.
The other team has a one dimensional offense.
You don't turn the ball over.
You convert 66.7% on third down.

And you only win by 7 and score 24?

You give any of the title contenders those circumstances and they are hanging 40+ and sleepwalking through the 2nd half. The fact that it came down to a 3rd down conversion with just over 2 minutes left to keep the game from possibly being tied is hard to imagine.

They had everything a coach could dream of and yet the game was in doubt.

Georgia should have won this won bigly.

True, it was not as close as the score would suggest. UGA the better team, but I do think we are gaining on them and with recent recruiting successes I think we are right there

Come on gator. A "congrats Dawgs" should be in order. Both teams played (mostly) error free. Nobody was seriously injured. Your QB is legit. Your D is lights out. The Dawgs dominated the line of scrimmage all day. That and Gators couldnt get off the field on 3rd down is the story of the game. Two top 10 teams going at for 60 minutes. CFB at it's best. And you're sour because Dawgs didnt win by enough?!!!? Boooo-oo-ooo to you!

Congrats Dawg! I thought the Gators would win that one easy. Seems like UGA is doing just enough to keep themselves in the NC hunt.

Oh well, I think all the gators will agree that it was a good moral victory for Florida.

Congrats to Georgia, no doubt.

The post was in the context of Kirby as a coach and what Georgia's ultimate goal for the season is.

The way the game played out, Georgia should have beat the snot out of Florida.

We are all agreeing with you 99. The Gator playing and coaching was most excellent.

Thanks! Gators played far better than I liked. They played like #6 team in the country, and were within striking distance at the end. Kept waiting for one team to make a mistake, to grab the momentum, but they both played near perfect regarding TOs and STs.
UGAs a good team. Not yet great, but one of the tops in the conference. A good win against a quality opponent on a neutral field. It remains to be seen if they can play for the Natty, but without a win today the SECCG was not even a possibility.
Dont like how Eddie trolled us all year, but that's what sparks the rivalry. Remember all the years Superior punched us in the gut, so will always savor a victory over the hated Gators.

Agree the score does not reflect the dominance of the Dawgs victory. A shutout would have been nice, but the Gators have too much talent at WR, guys that will have a good chance to play on Sunday. Glad to see alot of them moving on, but I expect 84 will be a handful going forward.

You gotta be scratching your head about the lack of urgency by the Gators on their last scoring drive. It was as if Mullen was thinking he had the lead and was intent on taking as much time off the clock as possible. That may have been the one big mistake made by the either coaching staff.
There was plenty of time for the Gators to at least tie this one in the fourth quarter and force O/T. Poor clock management by the FL head coach.

Dan Mullen is 5-19 against Top 25 teams. The notion he is superior to Kirby is laughable. Kirby whips his ass every time they’ve gone against each other.
