ok, so I waited until today to post because I was extremely frustrated about the lost. I wanted to calm down to think rationally before posting.

1.) the backup QB will always be the Volnation favorite.

2.) North is a H-U-G-E part of the offense.

3.) I really like Lane more than Neal, but feel that they both serve a great purpose. I have noticed that a lot of Volnation feels that you have to support Lane or Neal, but not both. I like having them share time.

4.) There will be some calling for Butch Jones head after this loss. (These people are not the most intelligent. So having "common sense" in the title may not apply to them.) We can not go 1 and done for a coach. That would be a disaster. (see Lane Kiffin)

5.) Pig has had 2 costly mistakes, but both were because he was trying to do to much. (stretching the ball out against UGA, and block in the back Vanderbilt) I like the effort, and I am proud to have him on team 117.

6.) We are headed in the right direction. I feel much better about this season then what Dooley did and/or would have done.

We Vol fans are the most dysfunctional family on the planet and you dare use "common sense" in your title? I have nothing more to add.:)

I'm with you on your "common sense" post. The Vandy loss was a hard one to swallow but I firmly feel this program is in much better shape than it was twelve months ago. The "foundation" has been built, the players appear to be all in, the commits seem to feel the "family" atmosphere that has been built by CBJ and STAFF, and we finally have some stability! Everyone needs to step back, relax, and enjoy the rise to the top!

It's hard to look at any bright side to anything but the only thing I could say that might help both butch and Nick Satan had losing seasons there 1st years at cinn and Bama they turned it around after hopefully we can next year

Saban did not have a losing record at Bama.

When we beat Florida at Neyland next year I'm sure you will feel better!

ok, so I waited until today to post because I was extremely frustrated about the lost. I wanted to calm down to think rationally before posting.

1.) the backup QB will always be the Volnation favorite. And once he starts, it will be the 3rd string guy

2.) North is a H-U-G-E part of the offense. See Saturday night as exhibit A...without Marquez it seemed like Dobbs was missing a part of himself.

3.) I really like Lane more than Neal, but feel that they both serve a great purpose. I have noticed that a lot of Volnation feels that you have to support Lane or Neal, but not both. I like having them share time. DITTO - I really hope Young, Hurd or one these young guys can step it up and fill in for Rajon. Seems the football world as a whole is going to this "2 headed situational RB stable"...and I fear that you wil not win without it.

4.) There will be some calling for Butch Jones head after this loss. (These people are not the most intelligent. So having "common sense" in the title may not apply to them.) We can not go 1 and done for a coach. That would be a disaster. (see Lane Kiffin) Again, I agree 100 %...I think Butch jones is like Novicaine, give him time and it works wonders.

5.) Pig has had 2 costly mistakes, but both were because he was trying to do to much. (stretching the ball out against UGA, and block in the back Vanderbilt) I like the effort, and I am proud to have him on team 117. Young mistakes from an outstanding young player...bet those don't happen next season.

6.) We are headed in the right direction. I feel much better about this season then what Dooley did and/or would have done. I was always supportive of Dooley because he was Head Coach at UT...but I knew after year 2 he wasn't the answer. But, due to our situation I also knew he would get a year 3...that remains to be seen with Coach Jones. For right now I believe we are headed in the right direction and am 100% behing CBJ. [/QUOTE]

Dooley would be 2-9 or 1-10 with this team right now.
