10/28 kick time just announced. ESPN

During Saturday’s broadcast, Nessler and Danielson were discussing the SEC East and the UT-GA game. Nessler said, “the next time we’re here will be for that one on November 18th.”

I know its,a rivalry for Kentucky, but I just dont know how into it the fans are going to be with Mark Stoops wearing out his welcome in Lexington. One more loss to UT will probably be the breaking point for them, since his buyout is $4.5 million or less now.

Well first, Stoops is in zero danger of losing his job. Secondly, the $4.5 million figure is the buyout if he leaves for another job. That’s not what Ky would owe him if they fired him.

$4.5 million? I think we could pitch in that amount and get him to stay there.

Stoops isn't going anywhere unless he leaves. He has made Kentucky football somewhat relevant (for them, anyway) for the first time in forever, there's no way they fire him off one bad season.

If UK fires him, the buyout is more like $50 million. They would owe him 75% of his remaining salary which this season is over $8.6 million and the contract extension he just signed last season is through 2031.
