I have my orange goggles on, but why not believe? We know the purpose of this year: demolish and build from the ground up.
Optimism is powerful. Let's support the team, who knows maybe they'll win out!!

I think 6 wins is all we should expect. Auburn will take a perfect game. They are capable of that as seen in the SC game. But being a realist, i hope they are just competitve with Auburn and beat Vandy and UK to get into a low end Bowl Game. If that happens, it is improvement Afterall. That is all the fans really want this year. Next year i think we can expect a 7-8 win season. 10 win plus seaslns are probably two to three years out. Another point is many SEC teams will be replacing QBs. We should be in better shape at that position next year and that alone should produce a few more win

Very possible. But I let myself talk myself into believing we would beat Mizzou. Not going to let this happen again. Just hoping we can play with AU and let the chips fall where they may.

Auburn appears to be better than SC or UGA, so it's gonna take a perfect game on both sides of the ball to hang in there. They need to keep it close going into the 4th and see what happens from there.

8-5 is probably a reasonable step forward for next year.....I just hope this fan base can tolerate the 5 losses and resist the urge to make "Butch ain't the guy" threads every week.

I'm with you. 8-5 is possible. Auburn's defense has not been that good this year. Tennessee is at home. South Carolina is better than Auburn in my opinion.

Auburn has 2 significant victories the other 6 are not that impressive.

I don't see Vandy beating UT in the last home game of the year.

Kentucky is the worst team in the SEC.

Then with 2-3 weeks to prepare for a Bowl game Butch will win.

So with the orange covered goggles on; let's start with the Mizzou game being on the road and for some reason Team 117 plays like they are Team 116 or 115 on the road. Don't know why the older guys weenie out on the road, but they do. If the offense executes on Mizzou's side of the field, the game is much different. If the D plays like they do at home, the game is much different. It simply was not as bad as it looked from a talent standpoint because Team 117 lost before the game started.

Fast forward to this week. Butch and staff have been making them feel the pain for their transgressions - that's a good thing. The O-line has been called out. The orange sticky glue has been applied to the receivers gloves. The D has been ranted on for bad angles, not using their hands, etc. Dobbs has now played against two Top 10 opponents on the road and gets to come home where all is familiar. They beat a one loss USCe team at home. They can lay it all out on the line since there is a bye week to recuperate. So there is reason for optimism. Pass the Big Orange Kool-Aid, please.

You know that will not happen. We are Tennessee and we should win every game regardless of talent level! Must be the coaches fault we aren't.
