IU stops PSU on 3rd and 4 and stuffs the Nittany Lions on 4th and 1!

1st and 19 IU at the their own 26 with 4:45 left in the game. PSU has all its TOs though.

On 3rd and 4, IU’s QB overthrows a WIDE OPEN TE who not only would have not only gotten the first down but could have gotten down most of the field.

PSU ball again at the PSU 26 with 3:14 left in the game.

And PSU finds a wide open WR for a 60 yard TD to make it 21-20 with 2:30 left in the game.

PSU’s pressure comes through, sacking the IU QB twice, forcing him to roll out on 3rd down, and the WR can’t hold on to the catch after a big hit on 4th and 21.

So down 1, Indiana does the old “let the PSU RB score a TD” which he realizes too late as he tries to take a knee right after crossing into the end zone.

...I don’t think I’ve ever seen defenders turning to the ref and pleading/ signaling TD in their own end zone before.

IU completion to the PSU 1. With 27 seconds left, the replay booth stops the game to see if IU got in or not.

IU runs it in on a QB draw/RB direct snap and it’s good. He gets through the middle and just is untouched before bouncing it to the left and outside into the bathroom endzone.

...and IU tries to catch them off-guard with an onside kick? PSU gets at the ball at the IU 49 with a timeout and 22 seconds left.

The IU coach’s hands were up in confusion/frustration after the play, so I’m not even sure if that’s what he told the kicker to do or ... what exactly happened.

PSU QB get pressured and 3rd and goal, rolls out, and on the edge of the field finds a WR for a TD.

35-28 end of the first half of the 1st OT.
