Ok, so the following players were on our campus this weekend. I am assuming that CDD has had a chance to talk with each of them. Only one prospect has commited from this list.

D. Rogers
N. Nance
J. Stone
J. Brown----Committed
D. Underwood
M. Rivera
T. Wilson
R. Neal
M. Jackson

I think this is probably the biggest week in our recruiting year and will determine how strong our class will be or not be. (you opinion?)

How long is a realistic time to expect committments. Are we so close to NSD that we will have to wait till then or do you think or have information that things could happen sooner??

I would not be suprised if some of these recruits walked away with a lot on their mind. Everytime I have listened to Jim Chaney talk, I come away very impressed! I really think this guy is sharp and very underutilized last year. Go get em CHANEY!

I think when its all said and done we will end up with a class above average. Dooley knows how to recruit. He proved that at LSU. It's late in the game and we will end up with some kids that a month ago never dreamed they would have a shot at UT. After all that has happened i think we will be alright. Not a super class but a good one. Well i am trying to make myself believe this anyways.

Some people may have forgotten that Chaney was Bryce Browns recruiter.

The point is some intelligent opinions and conversation. Obviously you have nothing better to do with your time or I would not be responding to your post...

Why even bother to post if your interest is not here.

Just curious.. (NOT) :pukeb:

If we dont get a commit from all of these guys this weekend then Dooley (AKA: Double D) is worthless and I will not be impressed. JOKE. But that is how some will think. I would like for all to commit and sign but as long as we can get some it will be just as good.

Yeah and i like Thompson also seems like they were the only ones with any loyalty to them. Glad we kept both. With them and Dooley maybe we can salvage a top 10 class this year, just with all the coaches leaveing after one year it will be hard to get a top 10 class

Don't see it any better than a mid 20's class, which under the circumstances, is not all that bad. There's just too mcuh uncertainty right now for these kids. Will Chaney or Thompson still be here after NSD? Don't know that answer. Chaney was being considered for a NFL job by one team, why not others?

At this point, we need bodies that wants to play for us no matter what the stars say and leave it to the coaching staff to develop them.

Ok, Coach Fulmer!!:banghead2::banghead2:

My next door neighbor has a 20 year old who played a little high school ball. I don't think he has any stars. Let's go get him CDD... LOL>>>

I would rather sign 18 with talent than 28 and the other 10 could not compete on this level. The depth chart is the reason we had a hard time securing a new coach. (Lack of Talent) JMO

Can one of our experts please put some sunshine on this thread instead of another startup. They are more believable

LOL. The reason they "seem" to have loyalty is BC we kept them LOL Think ab it. =)

I respectfully disagree. Chaney and Thompson both are very well connected and probably have many other options. I remember that Thompson's name came up quite frequently after the season as a candidate for several openings.

I am very impressed with both Chaney and Thompson and happy that they decided to stay. It's the only continuity we have.

Exactly. Answer this, had they taken a job, would you consider them "loyal"? ? No, so then my post was correct. The reason you see them as loyal is bc they stayed. LOL
