This whole season has turned into a dumpster fire. We know what needs to be done, the question is when do we do it.

The demise is just beginning we'll have to wait and see how many players we have next season as we know there is at present no players joining the team next season. This is a combination of some athletic players that have limited basketball skills and a coach that has no clue how to develop players or manage a game.
The fact that she is also a failure at recruiting just shows where the program is headed. Very upsetting to loyal Tennessee fans sometimes you have to suffer with a team and for the ones that hang in there like me the suffering is just beginning as long as we have this staff leading the team.

Preseason rankings never mean squat. There should be no rankings, IMO, before the season is at least one quarter or one third over, in all sports.

And certainly no "player of the year" or whatever DD was named before the season started! What a slap in the face to so many other, proven players!

She was a proven player. She was the NFOY.

I'm also sure that she was not a consensus favorite for the NPOY or SECPOY (Stewart and Mitchell had those wrapped up). I think at most she was voted a preseason All American by the media and/or coaches. It was the Tennessee fans that were trying to put her at the same level as Breanna Stewart.

Coming in, I thought she'd give Mitchell a run for SECPOY, but the award would ultimately go to Tiffany (who I never expected would end up being 2nd best on her own team). But Diamond was clearly expected to be the best player on the Lady Vols, and as much of a disappointment as she's been this season, she fulfilled this expectation. That says more about the rest of the team than her, unfortunately.

She WAS a proven player in 2013-14. She had injuries and sat for a year.

With the exception of putting UCONN at #-1, there should be no rankings of the other teams until mid January.

Lady Vols were 4th in the country on paper, in reality, they are 36th on the court. Too many over-rated players led to too high of a preseason ranking.
