Although my Aggies looked a good mess against the Red Zorros last night, I have to give respect to Bobby Knight. The first NCAA coach to reach 900. I look forward to seeing the rematch at Reed Arena. Obviously there is work to be done if Turgeon expects a diffrent outcome. And on that note, MAKE YOUR STINKING FREE THROWS!!!!

He's the second at 900 wins

Pat was first

He meant basketball, so Knight is first.

do we really want to try and pretend that Summitt's 900 and Knight's 900 are truly comparable?

Say what you will, but about 90% of Summitt's games weren't even in question before tipoff. I'm a fan of hers, but I don't think the accomplishment remotely compares to what Knight has done.

I'm not comparing them, just saying Bobby was not the first.

Conradt and Summitt beat him to it.

What Pat did is amazing but she never faced the competition that Bob has faced.

Wow, I certainly didnt mean to stir up an argument about who was 1st. I was merely making the observation that Bob Knight has won 900 games. While I was making that comment, I thought it would be clear that I was only referring to Men's basketball, and by the way, comparing Men's and Women's bball is insanely difficult. Yall have good luck with that. Nice win for the Vols last night, aTm over K-state Saturday, gig em.

no worries. Since you like good disscussion, give me your take on his response after the game and his comments to the crowd. A topic worth discussing imo.

true up until 3 or 4 years ago there were MAYBE a dozen quality women's basketball teams in the country. the ncaa tourney was all blowouts in the early rounds.

There are still only about 10 teams in women's college basketball capable of winning a National Championship. They could reduce their tournament field to 16 and nobody would notice.

Agreed, and personally, I think the fan base in the dust bowl that is T-Tech is pathetic. That guy is a freaking legend and should coach infront of a packed house without question. Granted, he doesnt have the greatest talent and he is slowly handing that program off to his boy, but still. It is amazing what a little home cooking can do for a program. I'd bet we have as many for our Women's BBALL any given night here at aTm.
