UK fan here (hoping we can hang in there against UL in a couple of hours),

Just wanted to congratulate you on your big win yesterday. I have to say, I don't have the same hatred for UT that most Cat fans do, but I certainly am no big fan of your team. That said, ya'll looked awesome yesterday. For the first time in a few years I saw you guys play up to your potential and it was flat out scary.

Two weeks ago I was pointing to Michigan as the potential darkhorse candidate for the national championship. Today I think it's UT. Frankly, I'm fairly confident that you guys will win the SEC East. Not that it won't be tough, but with UGa's spotty QB play I don't think they're a factor. I think the Gators will be tough, but if you bring what you brought yesterday, you are, simply put, the better team.

For the first time in a while I saw a UT offense out there that had a clear, unambiguous mission and knew exactly how to execute it. There was precision, guys finishing their blocking assignments, and desire. Obviously the defense is sick, but I think this could be one of your best offensive teams in quite a while.

I'm starting to think that if we were ever going to beat you again, it shoulda been last year, lol. Cutcliffe will get the respect he deserves this year and Ole Miss will regret making a change.

Welcome to the board! I have a cousin that goes to UK. I love Lexington, beautiful city. I've been to Commonwealth twice for UT games, sat in the student section, and found that UK FANS are very knowledgable about football, and just love the game, even if the cats get outclassed on a weekly basis. Commonwealth is a great stadium btw, of the 5 or 6 college stadiums I've been in, it comes in second to Neyland... that includes FSU's Doak, or joke... anyway, good luck to the cats tonight against Loserville! Big Blue always plays 'em tough, maybe they can pull off the upset. Is Pulley starting?!?!

I really think THIS is the year where the SEC establishes itself as the nation's best football conference - FAR and away. We've already demolished Cal (you guys), raped WSU (Aub) and most of the other teams looked pretty good ... other than Arkansas, who might be lookin' for a new coach at the end of the year. I always tell folks, even if the ACC looks good in a given year, or the Big Ten, or Big XII, year in and year out the SEC wins out. Why?

1) Fan Support
2) The SEC is the ONLY conference where you can say you "wouldn't be surprised" to see SIX teams win a nat'l title in the next 5 years ... UT, UF, UGa, LSU, Auburn and Alabama (maybe controversial here, lol). But seriously. We at UK and those at Ole Miss, Ark, etc. are making a good effort to build programs, too.

It's hilarious to think that if UK where in the ACC, we'd probably have the 4th highest attendance mark most years.

It is KINDA amusing... but at the same time, I attribute it to UK football fans being so committed.

That said, Lexington looks to always be a basketball town... unless you guys got the football equivalent of Bruce Pearl that is. :)

I always pull for UK when they aren't playing the Vols. My late father-in-law instilled a respect for UK in me before he passed away. :hi:

Looks like the Pole Cats are in bad shape... this could get out of hand quick.

I wish the Vols were in the Big East, they'd make to a BCS bowl every year with their eyes closed.
