Not to tell the Pakistanis about the attack till after it was done. That was a very smart decision. As my dad likes to say "Get the job done, answer questions later."

it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Just heard that is was a little bit of a risk because the Pakistanis where trying to figure out what the helicopters were, but by that time they had got him and were already leaving. Luckily, they did nothing.

The Pakistanis should be embarrassed. Supposedly Bin Laden had been going to and from that mansion for quite some time now. If I heard correctly, there is a Pakistani military garrison not to far from the mansion.

If I didn't want to have our troops home so bad, I would prefer we go in and kick some Pakistani ass too.

The Pakistani intel service said they had people in place at the site. Thats BS, they were there long after the job had been done. From what I've read, it sounds like they had no clue the operation was going on.

That the impression I have too. It's not looking like their was any collaboration on this. More like the Pakistan Military saying: "Oh, y'all got him? Cool, can we see? No? Ok have a safe flight boys, thanks."

I have to give mad props to U.S. intel services. They've been gathering intel on this for two years now. Many peoples initial reaction would be to get him now, but no they waited for the perfect opportunity.

They were protecting him, that part is obvious. No need to give them anything that would make the job harder.

Exactly. They basically knew where he was in August it seems like. However, they bided their time, covered their bases, and made sure the job got done.

You got to think this helps Obama in the '12 election. I can see it now, "Obama got Osama."

I don't particulary care about that right now, but no doubt it will help with public sentiment towards him.

No surprise here.

When Al-Masri was killed in Iraq (Apr. 2010), we gave the IA credit for the entire operation. Truth is, they were not informed until moments after the attack. Had they been privy to the intel prior to the mission, it would have most certainly leaked.

I agree that if you want to do the job right you do it yourself. The meek and weak reaction by Pakistan confirms those spineless blankety blanks had the opportunity to tell the truth for years and failed.

Its pretty obvious we were not being aided by them much if any.

They knew he was in their backyard. Thus I see no issue in climbing the fence to take him out.

If they had been cooperative over time its a non issue.
