Robert Peterson's Coastal Carolina Chanticleers are 0-4 on the road thus far this season...getting hammered in every affair...

Man I bet it ticks him off that Pearl is doing so well with last years team minus the top 2 scorers. It must make him question his value...though he would never admit it.

I was thinking the same thing last night. It's not as if Pearl brought in a hot shot freshman or a transfer who is carrying the team. These are Buzz's boys.

Bottom line...Buzz did not demand the discipline, heart and hustle that Pearl does. Look at Bradshaw and Asumnu. Last year they were both lacked guidance. This year they have it and they are producers. The skill level did not change that much...its the coach

Maybe Buzz wasn't as bad of a recruiter as we first thought...........nah.

Those Buzz Peterson apologists disappeared pretty fast. There were a few of those a year ago.

Buzz did OK in recruiting, but the Tyler Smith situation makes you wonder if he did it cleanly.

Buzz couldn't do anything with Buzz's boys. Bruce can do miracles with Buzz's boys. And as LIO says, these are Bruce's boys. Buzz gave up all naming rights when shutting that door on the way out.

do we want to critisize so badly that we're now going go after a guy that's not even in the same state any more? jeez folks...he's gone.... :horse: Let's move on to the CURRENT coach and team...remember, they're actually doing OK right now...i'm sure if he loses tomorrow, the party will be over, and it'll be time to take the moving van to Bruce's house...

Actually, I'm gonna keep making fun of Buzz as long as he lives...he's a bitter loser and he can't coach basketball....I enjoy seeing him suck and he deserves it for putting my team in an abyss of basketball darkness for four years....Bruce is turning water into wine with Buzz's contaminated water...

don't disagree about Buzz as a coach...but he wasn't the only one to lay an egg and he wasn't responsible for the mediocracy of this program as a whole....we as a university laid several eggs in coaching hires over the past 15 years...and i hope BP is the answer, long term. he certainly has made quite an impression early....but we really haven't done anything yet...

and that's great...not taking anything away...huge accomplishment for this team...but long term goals....we haven't won an SEC game yet, haven't won an SEC Tourney game yet....we have plenty to be excited about as TN fans....and i'm as optimistic as the next guy, but as we get in to SEC play, we'll find out more and more about this team...

And keep in mind, i don't think we're done winning a few games we probably shouldn't either...i can't wait to see us play UF and KY....the Memphis game should be fun to watch too...

Actually Texas is better than anyone in the SEC and probably besides Memphigh the best team we'll see all year...they have about 4 future NBA players on their squad

yeah, but you should know better than me, the grind of the season starts with the conference play, and given our depth, the conference grind will tell a lot about this team...that's what i'm getting at...i have nothing but respect for what the team did against TX, mainly because i gave them exactly 0% chance of winning that game, so right there, they've proved me wrong....but playing UK and UF twice...it'll be interesting....we may get some answers tomorrow night...how we react to the sudden praise and what's our attitude after winning BIG?

and this is just all happening very fast...this teams' mentality toward suddenly being in spotlight...fan support, expectations from hoping to get in to NIT, to now thinking March Madness....it's a lot to happen in a week...

I agree, it's a lot. I think that Pearl can keep them focused though. He certainly did during halftime of the Texas game. We'll see...
