For those of you that lovingly follow my posts especially when the discussion is about wearing colors other than orange and white.
I’m in the traditionalist camp on this subject much preferring orange and white to alternate black or gray.
Anyway, I have some relatives that live in another country.
They like American football and I’ve turned them into Vol fans.
They wanted some Tennessee gear so I gave them a website and told them to pick out what they wanted and I’d buy it for them.

All 5 items that they picked were black with an orange T. All 5.
My heart sank but I placed the order.
They are a married couple in their late 20’s, by the way.
A little karma for me, I think, that they picked all black items. 😂

"So sorry, the store contacted me to let me know they were out of that color, and asked me to pick an alternative. I picked orange instead, I hope that's okay!"

Don't do it for all of the items, that's too obvious. Just for some. This is the way.

Also, I'm kidding. Mainly. Probably. I don't know. Maybe.

If they are in a football (soccer) country, which they likely are if they aren't in the U.S., they're used to seeing a trillion different jerseys. European teams have a home kit, away kit, alternate kit that they change every year. From a merchandising standpoint, it makes absolute sense. When someone tells you it's not about the money . . .

I just have to come to terms with the fact that a lot of people don’t like the color orange even if they are Vol fans. Sigh. 😞

They are in Australia. People there see everything. Both a little on the heavy side. I think that’s why they like darker colors.

That is why we call them foreigners.

Just about every country I have been to over the years, the primary color for clothing is black. That may have something to do with it.

True, plus portly people like me think that black covers blubber better than a bright orange like ours. It is what it is.
I still wear Orange all the time. I’m a TRULY BIG ORANGE 🍊 fan. lol. 😆

Do not listen to this. It would be a very crappy thing to do.

Get them what they want, and tell them to wear it with pride.

Not to worry. I’ve already ordered them what they want. I’m just glad that they have embraced my love for the Vols and they will represent my school Down Under. At least all of the items do have an orange power T on them. 😛

Tell them thanks for sending us Jackson Ross.
And half of college football teams have Aussie punters. It’s because of a game that was created in Melbourne that they call “footy”. Google it if you haven’t seen it.
It combines elements of American football, soccer, and rugby. Very fast paced and quite physical.

Or… they like orange and aren’t closed minded to doing something a little different every now and then
