I was just wondering what you all think....

Do you ever think, as much as Phil bleeds orange, that if we ever reached out to him, that he would take maybe an OL coach job?

I mean the man knows how to evaluate and coach Offensive Lineman. He can recruit well. He would have us solid in the trenches.

I know he would much rather have a Head Coaching job, and his pride would probably never allow him to take a position coach.

But what do you all think about that? I know it will never happen. I'm just wondering.

I agree...I don't think Phils pride would allow that plus all the "boosters" whom wanted him gone and are still there...Phil seems to be enjoying his time away from the game IMO...this doesn't seem to be a profession that welcomes a personal life or having any time off.

See, I don't think that Phil would honestly be able to pour himself into a program like he did at UT. I just don't think it's in his heart to do it.

I'm not sure he'll ever coach again. I know he says he wants to. But I just don't think anything will ever measure up for him.

And yes, I know he won't ever come to coach positions at UT. But if Butch could sell the plea of "we want to get people in here who know what it takes to get Tennessee on top." Not many people know that more than Phil.

Just a thought I had. Would be an ultimate act of humility on Phil's part. But I just wondered what the fan base thought about it or would think.
