This is one of my favorite traditions in any sport. Today will be 65 years since Jackie broke the color barrier. Every MLB player will wear #42 today.

I have always loved this day. Really cool to see the whole league go all out and to even see it take place on MLB.com.

Very cool day, I wish more AA kids played baseball today. And lets not forget about Larry Dobee in the American League

It's at almost a record low, only 8% of current MLB players are African American. A lot I people don't even know who Dobee was, and debuted only a couple months later.

And I find it cool that Mariano Rivera is the/will be the last player to wear the number 42 everyday

Do they always do the 42 on all uni's, or is it a one time thing since it's 65 years?

They have for the past few years. I forget what year it officially started.
